You're about to discover foods guided by the rules of true European pastry and breadmaking, along with dishes made from scratch every single day. Growing up in Germany, chef/owner Michael Bruno was overwhelmed by the smell of yeast and butter and flour and freshly baked breads and pastries. There were also the earthy aromas of freshly roasted and brewed coffee.

But the best food in the world needs a disciplined team to produce it. That's where Michael's twenty years of experience leading an infantry team of US Marines lends itself to guiding his crew of passionate young cooks and bakers. That's why The Blue Door can do things like make its own English Muffins and doesn't need a freezer to pre make dishes - they have the skills to pull off the tasks that would overwhelm most kitchen crews.
